Today, I have decided to write about the Oxfords. But first let’s take a little peak into their history.
An Oxford is a style of laced shoe characterized by shoelace eyelet tabs that are stitched underneath the vamp, a construction method that is also sometimes referred to as “closed lacing”. Oxfords first appeared in Scotland and Ireland, where they are occasionally called Balmorals after the Queen’s castle in Scotland, Balmoral.
Oxfords can be made from a variety of materials including calf leather, patent leather, suede and canvas based on considerations of function or fashion. These are commonly black or brown, and may be plain or ornately styled Brogues.
So, I hope you learned something new, but why oxfords? In the last couple of years their affection raised, woman just love them. You can find them in such a diversity of colors and materials with unusual details or even heels. When something is catching our attention so fast it has to become a Fall trend, so I will show you some ideas how to style them. I still do not own them you know, which is a huge mistake of mine, but I’m waiting for the write pair to come, I’m that kind of gal you know.
As you can see there are lots of interesting models, some of them are pretty affordable so don’t waste your time. My pick are from the 2nd set (persunmall.com in black).
